It is almost 9 o'clock and Kan is still sleeping this morning. What is up with that? I stayed up late watching Girl, Interrupted last night. Strangely enough, I had never seen it before. With all the psychology and weirdness it was right up my alley. Borderline personality disorder, huh? I had to come and look that up as soon as the movie went off. It is amazing the strange things we can manifest within ourselves. Angelina played a sociopath- which of course I know ALL about. I have done extensive research on sociopath/psychopath. I personally think it all comes from childhood stress and trauma. Go here to have a look at Dr. Mercola's stance on it: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2008/05/27/why-traumas-can-haunt-and-sabotage-your-health-for-years.aspx?source=nl
Moving right along... I am still doing lots of research on natural healing and energy healing. There was a newsletter this morning about EFT. Has anyone out there had any experience with this type treatment? I found a practitioner in my area but being that he is a man- well, I am skittish. I am not sure about a man treating me. He is a hypnosis specialist and that is all sorta creepy to me. Anyway, if anyone has any stories to tell, I am all ears! For now I think I am sticking to Acupuncture, Reiki, Yoga, Chakra balancing, and my rocks! Lauri mentioned Gi-gong in her blog and I have heard quite alot about it along with Tai-chi also. I bought a DVD of the Tai-chi but found it too slow, hard to follow, and boring. Seems maybe the meditative Yoga is more my thing. I also REALLY like Flow Yoga. Shiva Rea has a really fun exercise DVD called Trance Dance. It is almost like tribal beat music and then hap-hazard flailing. It is super fun and really relaxing too. Kids will follow right along! Kan thought it was a hoot!
Next subject... we went out and got us some pet frogs. They are fire bellies and loads of fun to watch. Yesterday I decided to look them up and see what I could learn about them... well, it seems they should eat about 2-3 live crickets every other day:-) Gosh, ours have been eating more like 6 daily. OOPS! Perhaps we have been over feeding?! It sure is fun to watch them hunt down those creepy crickets though. Guess we had better cut them back before they become obese:-0
Speaking of crickets I am going to have to go out today and get some. Ma, that means we are going out on the town... I know you are probably sitting in the car with your head hung out the window already. (Ma was forced into staying home yesterday because Dad and I were being hermits. Poor Mom.)
All right then, see yah later!
